Our Story
Welcome to Magic Mealworms, where a little garden magic begins with a handful of good, honest food for the birds you love to watch.
A family-run business
Magic Mealworms is a family-run business and part of a small family of UK garden-products companies. We are gardeners ourselves, and we know the simple pleasure of a quiet cup of tea by the window while the birds come and go. That feeling is at the heart of everything we do. We wanted to offer a feed we would be proud to put out in our own gardens, sold in a friendly, straightforward way, with free UK delivery on every order.
A love of garden birds
There is something enchanting about a garden full of birdsong. The robin who follows you as you dig, the blackbird turning over leaves on the lawn, the blue tits tumbling around the feeder on a frosty morning: these small visitors bring a garden to life. Feeding them is one of the easiest ways to invite a little more of that magic into your day, and to give them a helping hand when natural food is harder to find.
Why mealworms?
Mealworms are a favourite with many garden birds, especially those that naturally feed on insects. Our dried mealworms are a natural source of protein and omega oils, which makes them a valued addition to the food you already put out. They are also a welcome treat for many pet reptiles, offered alongside a balanced diet.
Dried mealworms are clean and easy to handle, and simple to store. You can serve them straight from the bag, or soften them in a little warm water first. Our How to Feed guide has plenty of tips to help you get started.
Quality and care in every bag
We are committed to healthy, nutritious feed that wild birds and reptiles love. Every bag is packed with care and sealed to help keep the contents fresh and dry until you are ready to use them. We believe the birds in your garden deserve good food, and that you deserve a product you can trust, so we keep things simple: golden dried mealworms and nothing to fuss over.
Choose the size that suits your garden
Every garden is different, so Magic Mealworms comes in three sizes:
- 1 litre: a lovely way to try them, or ideal for a small garden or balcony feeder.
- 5 litres: a popular choice for regular feeding through the seasons.
- 10 litres: best value for busy gardens and keen bird lovers, with a saving when you buy two or more.
Whichever size you choose, delivery within the UK is free.
